Opening Times

The Show is running from November 27 2009 - January 16 2010. Evening shows start at 7.30pm, and matinees at 2.30pm. We also have a number of special matinees for schools starting at 12pm.

What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Beauty and the Beast has been written exclusively for Creation Theatre Company by Daniel Bye, so this is a one off opportunity to see a show that combines romance, adventure, live music and comedy in our magical antique Mirror Tent that weaves an enchantment all of its own. Come to visit us this Christmas and you'll never want to go anywhere else.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

In the age where television provides instant gratification, many younger students rarely have the opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of a live theatre performance. Seeing the text brought to life will inspire a love of English and Drama.

What are the activities?

We also offer special workshops by our professional actors on any text you like. We can come to you from as little as £3.50 a head!

What is the age range of the activities?

We recommend Beauty and the Beast for ages 6+ subject to parental discretion, but we can tailor workshops for any age group.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

We can cater for any size group and we offer group discounts and special prices for groups of 10 or more. The maximum capacity of the tent is 298, but we can spread the group over a number of shows if larger than that.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

We allow school groups to bring packed lunches for school matinee performances and there will be a limited Bar and Crepe menu also, but for all other shows we have a full bar and creperie available pre-show and during the interval.

Is specific clothing required?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and layers as the temperature in the Mirror Tent can fluctuate.

Do you have first aid on site?

We have first aid trained staff members on site.

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

We cannot allow any photography on site.

Additional information.

Our school matinee prices range from just £6.50 - £11.50 and we can reserve seats while you confirm numbers. For any more information or to discuss making a booking call the Box Office.
